Thassos (Thasos) is a lovely Greek island in the north Aegean Sea , near to the coast of Thrace and the riverNestos, but geographically it is a part of Macedonia. It is the northern most Greek island, and Twelfth biggest by region.
It is a very well liked island and one that attracts huge numbers of holidaymakers each year from around the world. With it's lovely beaches, and exquisite normal surroundings, it's the ideal place to go for pleasant and calming trips in the Aegean.
Over the coast you find deep canyons with small, quiet coves. Big parts of the island, which is full of water, are engrossed in trees. In Spring it's still quiet and wild flower blossom all over the place. An excellent time for you to explore the island, hiking from mountain towns to archeological sites to soft sand beaches.
